The Expander System was originally designed to solve recurring service problems of pivot lug wear. More and more machine manufacturers are now realizing the importance of lowering the LCC (Life Cycle Cost) of their machinery.
Pivot wear is a common problem that cannot be solved without than disassembling the machine and line boring the pivot lugs. This process is both expensive and time consuming.
There are many advantages to using the Expander System as an OE part. The tolerance requirements in the lugholes are minimized and there is virtually no risk of recall. Since the lugholes can be slightly larger than the axle, the assembly of the pivots is easier and faster. Still, the biggest advantage with the Expander System is that the problem of pivot lug wear will never occur.
